Despite losing all four games, the boys played very well and hopefully took home a lot of positives. Excellent pitching from Zach Egan, Emil Pape, Eric Stone, Jimmy Milano, James DiMartino and Chris Morgan and some very nice defensive work all around.
Leading the offense were James DiMartino (.500 avg. for the tournament), Eric Stone (.500 avg. with 4 runs scored), Elijah Rustin (.571 avg. with 3 runs scored) and James Carroll (.556 OBP and 1 run scored).
The Coach Carroll Player of the Tournament was James DiMartino, who continued his hot hitting, played well in the outfield, 3rd base and continued to strike fear into the hearts of all would be base stealers behind the plate.

Games 5 & 6 (May 6)

After a tough first game loss (18-2) to Garden City, the Indians came back and played a fantastic second game, with good pitching, hustle and some timely hits. Unfortunately, a 7th inning rally by Garden City handed the boys their 3rd loss of the season by a score of 7-4. The Indians are now 2-3-1.
Good pitching in game 2 by Jimmy Milano and Eric Stone and some nice defensive work at 3rd base by Teddy Derham. Eric also had 2 doubles and two runs scored on the day.
The Coach Carroll Player of the Game was James DeMartino, who provided more great defense behind the plate and was 4-5 with two doubles and a triple.
